Goodbye, Charlottesville

Well, a huge chapter of my life has officially come to a close. Brett turned in our keys to our very first home together on Monday, and has started the long road trip home with our precious Bogey.  Leaving Charlottesville was much more bittersweet than I could have ever imagined. When I moved to Charlottesville after Brett and I got married a little over two and a half years ago, I wasn't exactly the town's biggest fan. Over the time I spent there, I slowly fell in love with the charms of Cville, and I am honestly a little heartbroken to not call Charlottesville home now, but I know that my home is wherever Brett and Bogey are. It's a really special little town, with some of the nicest people I've ever met, an amazing sense of history, and so much to do and things to see.

On a happier note, I'm really excited to see what this next chapter in life has to hold! For next month or so, Brett and I are staying with family in Arizona, and we also have a trip to Napa planned with my family, which should be a blast. Finally, before we make the big move to Newport Beach, Brett and I are spending 12 days in Paris, Siena, Florence and Rome! I'd love to hear any suggestions you may have on what to eat/do and the like, too, so feel free to share in the comments!
