Before Brett and I went home for the holidays, we took a fun little trip up to NYC to see my favorite city in all it's Christmas glory, and let me tell you, it was a blast. We had so much fun seeing all of the displays and lights around the city, and managed to take in a Knicks game, Rockettes show (best holiday show ever!), a concert by a jazz trumpet player Brett loves, a visit to the Top of the Rock, and more yummy meals than I can count!
Hope you're enjoying the holidays with the friends and family you love!
cream silk equipment blouse (more budget-friendly versions here and here) | topshop boiled wool biker coat | topshop army green skinny jeans | L.A.M.B oxley pumps | alexander wang tri-fold bag
I took the liberty of "spinning" this week's Pin and a Spin more than usual. I loved the cut of the coat in the original pin, but couldn't find a similar style in army green to save my life, so I decided to keep the color scheme, but reverse it!
I wanted to share a few photos I snapped before we left Charlottesville. I love the Lawn at Christmas, when the Rotunda and all of the rooms are all lit up- it's beautiful. And I really, really loved that monogram wreath.

I've always loved the jewelry line Bing Bang, but man, their new collection blew me away. Maybe it's because I'm having a major gold skull moment, or maybe it's just because everything in the collection is awesome, but I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites for this post. Check out the rest of Bing Bang's line here.
dress: express (4 years ago) | shoes: stuart weitzman | bracelet: gift from mom | earrings: kendra scott (from my sister!)
I realized that I hadn't posted what I wore to Brett's Great Gatsby-themed law school auction. I have had this black fringe dress hanging in the back of my closet for four years, and I've only worn it once. Decided this would be the perfect occasion for it, right?

I'm waiting to wrap any of my Christmas gifts until I get to my family's house in Scottsdale, thanks to the TSA, but I love looking at photos of creative ways to wrap Christmas gifts! These are a few of my favorites at the moment. I love the idea of using washi tape as an accent on Christmas gifts, or tying special things, like ornaments or photos, to packages.
How are you wrapping your Christmas/holiday gifts this year?
black peplum top: asos (similar here + here) | pink jeans: h+m (similar) | leopard loafers: sam edelman, c/o piperlime | necklace: spike the punch | houndstooth coat: anne klein | earrings: c/o kara ackerman
I ordered this sweet peplum top from ASOS during their Cyber Monday sale, and pulled it out to go to dinner on the Downtown Mall with some of our friends in Charlottesville. I think it may be my new favorite top!
I may have been a bride almost two years ago, but that doesn't mean that I love weddings any less now than I did then! I've always had a thing for weddings, wedding photos, and wedding magazines, and if I'm telling the truth, I still browse wedding websites every now and then.
I've always thought that a wedding invitation really sets the tone for the event, and is a great way to showcase a little of the couple's personality, too! I always save wedding invitations because I'm a total sentimentalist at heart. While I ordered wedding invitations locally, there are plenty of great places to order them online, too!
Personally, I aboslutely adore every single one of Minted.com's wedding invitation suites. They're so unique and original, and run the gamut from ultra-classic to super-trendy, and they certainly suit a wide variety of wedding types and themes! I love that you can create your own invitation suite that perfectly coordinates, by selecting RSVP cards, map and directions cards, and even thank-you notes for after the wedding. You can even select a pattern or add a photo to the backside of the invitation! If I received one of these wedding invitations in the mail, I would think that they were custom-designed, just for the couple.
I've shared a few of my wedding invitation favorites from Minted here, but head on over to their site to see loads more- they have hundreds of wedding invitations!
This post is brought to you by Minted.com, but all opinions are my own.
