Room to Wear

Today's guest poster is Lauren, from over at Seventeenth & Irving! I have the honor of being a guest contributer over on Lauren's site every now and then, and she graciously offered to share a post with you while I'm away on vacation. Lauren's blog focuses on the "intersection of shelter and style," and it's quickly become one of my very favorite blogs! Thanks again, Lauren!

Hi Best of Bklyn readers! I'm so honored that Brookelyn asked me to share a post with you while she's on vacation. I normally blog over at Seventeenth & Irving, where you'll find the best combination of interiors and style, and anything else that strikes my fancy.

I often draw sartorial inspiration from interior design, and when I saw this room from  David Collins Studio, I just knew it would make a perfect outfit. This dress, with its deep rich blue and graphic pattern, reminds me of the gorgeous sofa and pillows. Paired with this clutch  that looks like a piece of the painting, and these crocodile accent booties  inspired by the coffee tables, and you've got a fantastic outfit for date night. And since no outfit is complete without a little sparkle, I love this geometric necklace  to pull it all together.

Hope you'll drop by Seventeenth & Irving and say hello sometime. Thanks for having me, Brookelyn!
