Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer Review

I've recently added Laura Mercier's Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer to my makeup bag, and I wanted to share a little bit about the makeup here today in a review!
When it comes to makeup, I'm usually a product loyalist. I'm always searching for the best version of a product, but once I find it, I generally stick with it for months or even years. I've been using a Lancome powder as a base/foundation since high school, but when I last ran out of it, I decided it was time for a change, and took a trip to Sephora
I had really wanted to try a BB Cream, but I couldn't find one that matched my skin! I had read great reviews of Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer, so I headed over there. When I spotted the Illuminating version, I decided to go with that, because a little extra glow is never a bad thing. I selected the shade called Natural Radiance, and there seemed to be a wide array of colors available (not all in the illuminating version, however.).

I've been using the tinted moisturizer as a foundation for around a month now, and I have to say, I'm impressed! I'd say it gives moderate coverage, blends really well, and gives me a subtle glow. The shimmer is super-subtle, not at all like junior high cheerleading glitter makeup, so it would be work-friendly, too.  It's just enough to make my skin look alive! I still use a touch of Benefit Erase Paste undereye concealer, but I don't need much.
The only downside to the product is the price: $42 for a bottle. I had a gift card to Sephora from my lovely mother-in-law, so that cushioned the blow, but it's definitely a splurge item! The tube is a decent size, however, and I think it'll last a while.

  1. I've heard that this stuff is absolutely magical -- I might have to give it a shot!
