Glossybox Review

I recently had the chance to try out Glossybox, a monthly luxury sample delivery service similar to Birchbox. Glossybox generously included one of their sample boxes in my Lucky Fabb gift bag, and I wanted to share my thoughts on each product, as well as a little more info about Glossybox.

Glossybox sends 5 travel sized items to you once a month for a subscription cost of $21 a month vs. Birchbox's $10. I really liked both services, but I will mention that Glossybox's samples are definitely travel sized, while I'd probably describe Birchbox's as sample sized, a little smaller, which makes the price difference between the two make more sense.

Glossybox focuses on bringing you products from around the world, and aside from the Illamasqua and Toni & Guy products in my box, I had never heard of any of the brands before. I think this is a great way to find out about new products that you wouldn't usually find in your local Sephora or Ulta.

Glossybox has an online magazine section of their site, full of helpful beauty advice to try out and suggestions for using the products in your box. I'd definitely recommend checking out the magazine even if you don't subscribe to the service!

Keep reading to find out what was in my box!

Figs & Rouge | Lip, Face and Body Balm
This gorgeous tin is filled with a 100% pure and natural skin balm, a multi-use wonder product that will keep your  skin feeling soft and beautiful throughout the day.
My thoughts: I absolutely love how this smelled, and I'm pretty picky about scents. I haven't  tried it anywhere other than my lips, but it definitely kept my lips soft and flake free, which is no small feat for my dry lips.

Senna Cosmetics | Mineral Eye Shadow Trio
This silky pressed mineral eye shadow trio in metallic or matte colors gives you a hypnotic yet polished finished with amazing dimension.
My thoughts: This eyeshadow trio was awesome. I feel like I usually have to put a ton of eyeshadaow on to see the color come out, but this one was super pigmented, and only took a little bit. It seemed to stay put on my lids, and the colors were pretty perfect for my skin tone.

Illamasqua | Sheer Lipgloss
This gorgeous, highly pigmented lipgloss has a lightweight formula and a brilliant color that will gie our lips a sweet pout.
My thoughts: I usually wear lipstick over lipgloss because I hate how sticky glosses usually are. This one was considerably less sticky than the last I tried, and I loved the sheer red hue- it was subtler than my usual red lipsticks, but still there.

Vegebom | Skin Repair Balm
This organic balm is made of an exotic mix of essential oils that will provide skin repair, a stimulating effect, and will soothe irritated skin.
My thoughts: The Vegebom definitely has a unique, kind of herbal scent that I'm not sure I love, but when I applied it to a small blemish I had picked at, it helped ease the redness and seemed to expedite the healing process, so I'm chalking it up as a winner.

Episteme | Moisturizing Cleansing Cream
This premium facial cleanser from the super luxurious Japanese skincare brand will softly enrich your skin and boost its complexion and firmness.
My thoughts: I only used this a couple of times since I'm planning on keeping it for my next trip, but I loved the super subtle scent and how soft my skin felt after using it.

Tony & Guy | Sea Salt Texturizing Spray
This spray will create texture and natural movement with light hold. Suitable for all hair types and perfect for achieving a lived-in, beach look.
My thoughts: I seriously am obsessed with this stuff. I've never tried a salt spray, but consider me a convert. I've loved spritizing this in day-old hair to give it a bit more body, and make it look intentionally messy vs. just a mess.
