Fall 2012 Fashion Trends

Fall is quickly approaching, and I couldn't be more excited. I spent last night searching through runway show photos from Style.com last night, and I noticed a few trends that kept popping up. This may be my favorite season for fashion in semi-recent history- it isn't often that I fall so hard for so many trends, and I wanted to share a few of my favorites, and give some tips as to how to transfer the runway looks to the real world.

Red is such a classic power color. If wearing head-to-toe scarlet is a little bold, try a red shoe or bag.

Sequins are a party dress staple, but to mix it up, try sequin shoes or a sequin clutch.

Peplums are remarkably flattering, and they pair perfectly with a tailored pant or pencil skirt.

I love my fur vest, but if that's too much for you, try a detachable fur collar on your classic coat for a little pizazz.

Tweed is a classic look that never really goes out of style. Try it on a  blazer, and you'll wear it for years to come.

Wearing leather isn't for the faint of heart, so to tone it down, try a leather version of a classic piece, like a pencil skirt. I just picked up this faux version for less than $20!

This is the perfect trend- flattering and comfortable at the same time. With such a bulky upper half, pair with skinny jeans to avoid drowning in your clothes.

  1. I always love sequins, but I'm especially excited about them for fall!

  2. I'm more interested in that red and black tartan jacket. I'm looking forward to wearing flannels and gaelic tartans this fall.

  3. There are so many things I love about this fall season! Leather, peplum, sequins, yes please.
