Drybar Scottsdale Review

On Saturday, my sister Makinzie surprised me with a fun gift: blowouts at  Drybar in Scottsdale at the Scottsdale Quarter! I've been wanting to check out the blow dry bar since it opened, and it was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon with my sister.
If you haven't heard about Drybar, the salon's philosophy is pretty simple: they don't do cuts or colors, only blowouts, and a styling session costs $35. Kinzie had purchased a Groupon that included a  "shot" of deep conditioner (usually $10), which was applied after our washes, and made my hair silky smooth.

Drybar's "menu" includes eight different styles you can choose from, or you can customize with your stylist if you have something else in mind. Makinzie opted for the "Southern Comfort," which was described as big hair with lots of volume, and I went for the Cosmopolitan, with lots of loose curls. If you haven't caught on yet, Drybar is themed around cocktails and bar lingo, and you can even have a glass of complimentary champagne or a mimosa while your hair is done.
Kinz and I were both thrilled with how our hair turned out, and my stylist was super helpful with suggesting products (without being pushy) and explaining how she was achieving the style, which is always great if you're a little incompetent when it comes to doing your hair like me.
All in all, it was a super relaxing way to spend an afternoon, and I'll definitely head back to Drybar when I have events like weddings or holiday parties to head to when I want my hair to look its best!
