Missoni for Target

So, in case you've been hiding under a rock and haven't heard, Target's much-anticipated collaboration with storied design house Missoni debuted today, to much hype! I decided to swing by my local Target around 11 this morning, after my workout,(the only one in our little town) thinking that there was no way that my small town Target would be sold out, two hours after the store opened. Man, was I wrong! The racks were nearly empty, save a few items, as were the home goods section, too! I managed to snag this notebook and makeup case, but aside from that, no dice. I asked around, and the Target employees said that some of the stuff wasn't delivered to the store, like the fun and funky swimsuit I had my eye on. Anyways, I did see a few women with multiple- like five or ten of the notebooks and five or ten of the makeup bags in their carts, on the phone with friends, strategizing about what to buy! I came home, and Target.com was down (and still is, as of 2PM), thanks to the high demands, and per Twitter, it seems like most of the stores sold out, fast! Lesson learned: the early bird gets the worm, even in a small town!

Did you manage to scoop up any Missoni for Target?

  1. Luckily, I kept my browser up and was able to get in on the site. Keep trying! It's so cute.

  2. Oh no, ANOTHER thing to make me love Target even more! :)

  3. There's so much cute stuff to find at Target it's ridiculous :)

  4. I didn't even try, honestly. The people at these releases are SCARY.

  5. I had my eye on a pair of flats but I was late to get them :( I actually just posted my Missoni story if you're interested.
Target sold out in thirty minutes in LA and apparently cops were called to some of the stores because people went crazyyyy

  6. I was on a business trip in New England and didn't have a chance to stop at a Target, but a colleague was in Rome, GA and wound up spending $800 (!!!!) at a Target there.

She said she's having a regret and is going to return some. I say she needs to bring it back to Charlottesville and let some of us have first dibs!
