What I Wore: Light Blue, Dark Blue

I'm going to be straight up honest with you here. I almost didn't post this outfit. Why, you ask? Well, because in looking at this dress in retrospect, I'm a teensy bit embarrassed that I wore a hemline so short. This dress was the perfect length last year when I bought it, so I'm guessing I shrunk it...because now my shirtdress looks more like a belted shirt. But, I wore it, and didn't really have this realization until after I had Brett snap some pics, so I decided I'd share it anyways. Because we all have days (at least, I hope it's not just me) where we get home and realize our outfit (that we had been wearing ALL day) wasn't so great after all. I'm thinking a longer slip or some leggings+ballet flats are in this dress/shirt's future. Learn from my mistakes, folks!

Jacket: Gap (from, like, 4th grade-thank you, 90's bagginess),
Dress: Anthropologie, Belt: Thrifted, Shoes: Soft

Please, make me feel better: tell me about your last "oops" wardrobe realization?!

  1. you've got great legs, so there's nothing to worry about!
Maybe the belt pulls the dress a little bit up!
If you want to feel comfortable for sure, yes leggings are in order!!

  2. The skirt is short and all, but you look FANTASTIC! Seriously, you have nothing to be embarrassed about.

Whenever my dresses shrink too much, I just layer them over stretchy knit mini skirts (H&M has my favorites!).
