5 Ways: Add Color...NOW!

I've talked a lot about wanting to add more color to my wardrobe a lot recently, so bright hues have been on my brain. Like most of us, I can't buy a whole new colorful wardrobe (and, even if I could, I think that would be a little overwhelming for this neutral-loving girl) but I'd like to add a colorful piece or two to my wardrobe as the temperatures rise. Here are five ideas I've come up with recently, and a couple are budget friendly, to boot!

14k Yellow Gold Necklace with Turquoise Oval Pendant, 16"

I've seen gorgeous turquoise necklaces on some of my favorite bloggers lately, that have made me rethink the bright stone. One of my favorites is this turquoise oval pendant. I love how the thin gold chain makes this necklace totally modern, and not some cheesy tourist stop type piece. It's a bit of a splurge at $139, but turquoise is always coming in and out of style, so it'll get a lot of wear over the years.

Revlon Moon Drops Lipstick, Crystal Cut Coral #700 - 1 Ea

I'm a huge fan of a bright lip, and I always feel much more pulled together with a quick swipe of lipstick. Revlon Moon Drops Lipstick Crystal Cut Coral. This lipstick is supposed to be super moisturizing, and is quite a steal at just $7. Pick up a couple, and experiment until you find your perfect shade!

In my opinion, yellow is probably one of the hardest colors to wear well. You definitely must have a bit of a tan, and the right skin tone, not to mention a huge helping of confidence, too! I've never been able to pull off, say, a yellow dress, but I love this adorable Essex Crossbody, $295, from Kate Spade. It's the perfect bright pop of color, and is also a super-convenient style for Spring adventures!

Essie Nail Polish The Art of Spring - Lilacism

I adore having pretty colors on my fingertips, and I've been searching  for the perfect lavender hue for this Spring. Essie's Lilacism was recommended to me by a friend, and I can't wait to try it out- I'm thinking it is the perfect shade for an Easter manicure.

This last suggestion is definitely not for the faint of heart, but it will certainly turn heads! I'm loving these bright crimson rag & bone jeans, $97 at Bluefly (down from $175 originally)! These are a great transitional piece, and you could wear them just as easily under a coat in December as cuffed and with a summery white top for brisk July nights.
